Iron Fist Actor Wants to Don Costume in Season 2

Among Marvel's TV series, Iron Fist may be the unluckiest in terms of audience reception. Granted, the mistake may be the lack of adaptation to the ideals of the modern times when it comes to exclusivity and diversity, but at the moment, it's not the favorite even in terms of storyline.

What's more, comics loyalists are also looking for one thing that's still missing in the series: his signature costume. But if things work out according to how actor Finn Jones sees it, fans may get to see it sooner than later. In a podcast (via MCU Exchange), Jones teased the costume's appearance and how it could be portrayed when it finally appears:

"I think moving forward to Season 2, we'll see something like that [the classic costume]. Personally, I hope we get the wispy kind of ripples at the back of the mask. That's a super cool effect. I think it would actually be annoying, the logistics of it but I think it would look really cool."

Then again, it should be worth remembering that Iron Fist isn't the darling series in the Marvel series-verse. Even if Danny Rand will be joining The Defenders in its own series, his standalone show is far from assured of even a second season.

One other question would be if the series producers will decide to adapt the costume straight from its comic book look. Jones already has an idea of his own, but it might be nice to change it for a more modern take.

Danny Rand will be back with the others in The Defenders, scheduled to hit Netflix on Aug. 18.
