Marvel is extending its reach even more, as another superhero joins the Disney XD animated shorts lineup.
Entertainment Weekly confirmed that Scott Lang, hailed as Ant-Man in the MCU, is getting his own animated cartoon shorts. Titled Marvel's Ant-Man, the shorts will be released on Disney XD on June 10 and 11.
According to the report, Lang will be voiced by Josh Keaton. Familiar faces, the Wasp and Hank Pym. Marvel's Ant-Man is set to follow in the footsteps of Groot and Rocket's own animated short, with Passion Pictures as the studio for the animation.
Each of the six animated shorts in the series will be two minutes long. Ugo Bienvenu and Kevin Manach are attached to direct the shorts. Other names behind the camera include Brian Wysol as writer and Alan Fine, Dan Buckley, Joe Quesada, Cort Lane, Stephen Wacker, and Stan Lee as executive producers, and Cara Speller and Marc Bodin-Joyeux as producers.
The titles of each short have already been revealed, with two expected to air twice in a row, with the titles as follows in order:
Science Fair
Alien Invasion
Soup Time
Exterminator
Proton Cube
Not a Date
On June 10, the first three episodes will air at 7:58 a.m., 11:58 a.m., and 2:58 p.m. On June 11, the latter three will air at 11:28 a.m. There are also two images released for the shorts, seen above.
