Interview With The Vampire Series Adds Avatar 2 Star as Claudia

The upcoming TV adaptation of Interview with the Vampire has cast another important character in the new series. Avatar 2 star Bailey Bass has just been confirmed to play the child vampire Claudia.

Entertainment Weekly confirms that Bass is joining the cast of Interview with the Vampire. She will portray Claudia, the little girl who was turned into a vampire by Louis de Pointe du Lac and Lestat de Lioncourt. The character was originally played by 11-year-old Kirsten Dunst in Neil Jordan's adaptation of the Anne Rice novel.

Bass is a relative newcomer but she is already destined for great things. She had been cast as Tsireya, a mysterious new character who appears in Avatar 2 and Avatar 3. However, there is a good chance we'll see her as Claudia first before getting a glimpse of her Na'vi character.

This is interesting news considering that the Interview with the Vampire series is set to be a sequel to the original story. The show is expected to feature a second interview between Louis and Daniel Malloy, who is now an old man. If Claudia is in the series, this could mean that Louis will once again recall his past when he lived with the child and Lestat.

Interview with the Vampire will also star Australian actor Sam Reid and former Game of Thrones actor Jacob Anderson as Louis. Alan Taylor, who has been confirmed to direct the pilot, has previously confirmed that production will begin in December. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
