Insomniac Gives Interesting Details for Spider-Man on PS4

Spider-Man: Homecoming already gives us a glimpse of Peter Parker as a hero that makes use of more than just powers—but also his brains, too. The trailer has showcased a homemade Spidey suit, though we have yet to see what it truly hides underneath.

For those who will play Insomniac Games' Spider-Man title for the PS4, the same ability to build his Spider-Man suit will be present. Insomniac Games has showcased a number of updates via Twitter, and one of the more interesting tidbits is this little costume building sideline.

Perhaps this ability will also explain just why the emblem on his Spidey suit has been upgraded to a white one, since Insomniac did state that this will have a significance in the game. To create the costume, he will use his "ingenuity and lab experience," so I guess there's no Tony Stark-like mentor for this version.

One other thing to note for Spider-Man is that Martin Li, philanthropist and villain known as Mister Negative in the comics, will be in the game. His background doesn't seem to be changed too much, as he will still be running the F.E.A.S.T. homeless shelters, with Aunt May still assigned to one of the shelters under this organization.

The good thing here is that, even with the ruthless villain like Li, Miles Morales as Spider-Man will still have some advantage up his sleeve. Specifically, that will be the experience he's built up for eight years as the city's Spider-Man. The developer even noted that he has become masterful at it (check out that short clip showing this):

Insomniac Games' Spider-Man title for the PS4 does look very promising. It will explore a different side to Miles Morales as the web-slinger, and will showcase a new story and universe. It's slated to arrive next year.
