INFINITE members Woohyun and Sungjong felt the need to express their dismay toward Woollim Entertainment before their comeback.

For years since 2019, INFINITE fans – Inspirit – have not heard new music from the now-six-piece boy group. Five members of the group – Sungjong, Woohyun, Sungyeol, Dongwoo, L – returned with their single, Clock.

The group’s leader, Sunggyu, was not able to participate as he was enlisted for his military service months before the single’s release.

Since last year, they have all been expressing their desire to make a comeback as a group. Woohyun and Sungjong also recently brought back the topic, but they also got something to say about Woollim Entertainment.

INFINITE Woohyun, Sungjong Slam Woollim Entertainment

On Tuesday, Woohyun sat down for an interview on Sungjong’s radio program, Idol Blossom 2. During the duo’s appearance together, they spent time sharing what they had been up to these past few days.

Sungjong started the conversation by asking how things are at Namu Company. The term refers to an office at Woollim Entertainment dedicated to oversee Woohyun’s solo activities.

It is worth noting that, as of press time, Woohyun is the only INFINITE member who still stays at the group’s debut label.

In response to his co-member’s question, the A Song For You hitmaker asked whether it was okay to curse since he did not have anything good to say about the company.

As for the reason behind the boy group’s dismay, Woohyun revealed the story about a Woollim Entertainment employee who was in charge of managing all their data in the company. However, they learned that the hard drive containing the files was destroyed.

Woohyun said:

“Now, all of our past content that we had at Woollim is gone. The employee failed to maintain the hard drive properly, and the data was all lost. That hard drive contained all kinds of content related to INFINITE, like every practice video we filmed, every photo, behind-the-scenes videos, unreleased videos, and unreleased songs, too. It was the encyclopedia of INFINITE's career, and it is now lost.”

He added that the hard drive also got their records from the Tell Me era. Approximately, it has the file from 2016/2017 onward.

Unfortunately, the agency is now the only one that has those content. So Woohyun reportedly plans to sneak in one day and move INFINITE’s data to his own hard drive.

Sungjong responded, saying that Woohyun would become a spy real soon to rob everything related to their boy group.

INFINITE Comeback Happening Soon

On the lighter side, Sungjong and Woohyun also talked about the possibility of their reunion. They recalled how they were able to greet their fans during Sunggyu’s concert.

By seeing how dedicated Inspirit members are, they reportedly started finding a way to meet their fans as a whole group.

“It just feels like trying to move a boulder by throwing eggs at it. (A Korean idiom that describes the feeling of trying to achieve something which seems impossible.) I want to thank our fans who are still supporting us and who are protecting our name,” Woohyun went on.

INFINITE members have since expressed their desire to have a comeback during their 11th debut anniversary last year. During that time, they revealed that they want to meet their fans again on their 12th anniversary.

INFINITE will celebrate their 12th debut anniversary on June 9.
