The winter 2022 season is pretty quiet as far as isekai works are concerned, following explosive previous seasons with such titles as That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Mushoku Tensei.

In the Land of Leadale is a much more relaxed isekai with a slice of life, cheerful pace that will appeal to fans of My Next Life as a Villainess due to its inspiration from video game aesthetics. For those enjoying the Maho Films show and wanting more, is In the Land of Leadale based on a manga or light novel, and is it completed or ongoing?

In the Land of Leadale follows Keina, who spent years in life support following an accident. When a power outrage causes her life support to stop functioning, Keina dies, only to find herself in the land of Leadale, the fictional world where her favorite RPG game unfolded. Now in the body of her avatar, she starts her new life as an elf mage, Cayna.

But the more she explores Leadale, the more Cayna finds out that it isn't the land she remembers. Having been abandoned by admins, Leadale has been devastated by war, and it's no longer a flourishing land. Moreover, Cayna learns that she has three adopted children whom she now meets in person.
