Scream 6 (2023) is only a few months away, and now the first image from the film has reportedly leaked online!

Scream 6 has certainly been making headlines this year, ever since Neve Campbell's shocking exit from the project. The actress, best known for playing Sidney Prescott in the Scream films, announced her departure over a salary dispute. Since then, however, we've learned a lot about the film.
Other cast members have shared tidbits about the film, such as its New York City setting (with Montreal doubling as the Big Apple), while also revealing how the film will compare to previous Scream installments. Now, the first photo from the film has apparently leaked online.
The image in the tweet shows all of the returning cast members from Scream (2022) with the exception of Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers). From left to right, there's newcomer Dermot Mulroney (a police officer), Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy Meeks), Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), and Mason Gooding Jr (Chad Meeks).
There's also another character in the background, but their face is too obscured to see who it is (don't worry - it isn't Ghostface!).

The caption above the image suggests that it's actually taken from the trailer. It reads as follows:
"New rumoured photo from SCREAM 6: Allegedly from the trailer! It could be dropping VERY soon. #SCREAM6"
Whether or not this is actually from the upcoming Scream 6 trailer remains to be seen. Either way, we're pretty excited.

Scream 6 stars Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter), Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy Meeks), and Mason Gooding (Chad Meeks).
Newcomers are Dermot Mulroney, Henry Czerny, Tony Revolori, Jack Champion, Devyn Nekoda, Liana Liberato, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving in undisclosed roles.

A brief synopsis for the upcoming sequel is as follows:
"[Scream 6] continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter."

Scream 6 will be released in theaters on March 10, 2023.
