Christmas just came early on Netflix. Family Switch tells the story of a disconnected family who has to 'fix what is broken' in their relationship. Amid the chaotic descent of the Walker family, Ilia Paulino's Family Switch role is playing Kara aka Jennifer Garner's assistant. But why does she look so familiar?

Netflix is switching it up with their recently released holiday film, introducing us to the Walker family.

Starring Jennifer Garner, Ed Helms, Emma Myers, and Brady Noon, the book-based film has the Walker family find another way to rekindle their relationship as a family.

Based on Amy Krouse-Rosenthal's Bedtime For Mommy book, this equally hilarious and endearing family-themed movie might be right up your alley to watch during the holidays.

While Ilia Paulina's Kara doesn't have a significant amount of screen time compared to the main cast, you're probably wondering where you know her from. Chances are, you've seen her already.

The official synopsis for Netflix's Family Switch reads:

Jess and Bill Walker are doing their best to keep their family connected as their children grow older, more independent, and more distant. When a chance enocunter with an astrological reader causes the family to wake up to a full body switch, on the morning of the most important day of each of their lives, can the Walkers unite to land a promotion, college interview, record deal and soccer tryout?

You may be surprised that Ilia Paulino already had her Netflix debut before Family Switch. Paulina starred in one of the best 2023 series under the streamer, and that is by playing the 'Iron Mace' Alvida in Netflix's live-action adaptation of the pirate adventure anime, One Piece.

Before becoming a part of the breakout series, though, most fans would probably recognize her more for playing Lila in Max's (formerly HBO) Sex Lives of College Girls.

The difference is Paulino got to shine most in Sex Lives of College Girls, appearing in more than one episode. Not to mention, she played an important role in one of the lives of the main protagonists, Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet).

Formerly working alongside Kimberly, Lila was eventually promoted to become the branch manager of the on-campus coffee place. All the while remaining close friends with Kimberly.

Paulino also happened to be a scene-stealer in Kevin Hart's Me Time movie, where she was praised by the iconic comedian Hart himself, "[Ilia Paulino]'s character and world in this movie was all self-developed. That stuff was not written, so you're looking at a performance where she brought a lot to the table."
