IGN Releases 'Blazing' Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 Trailer

It looks like IGN is celebrating this year's 420 with a "trailer" for the second season of Lucasfilm's hit live-action Star Wars series, Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

The entertainment news outlet just recently posted a brand new video touted to be the "official trailer" for the second season of The Mandalorian, and while the whole thing is clearly a prank, we have to give our props to IGN for its editing skill.

Either the publication managed to ask for a few Season 2 shots from Jon Favreau for their video, or IGN hired a video editor to put in a clip of the Razor Crest flying away from a burning star. Pedro Pascal's voice over seems pretty legit as well. It's hard to tell whether the publication hired The Mandalorian star to say a few lines for their 420 trailer or whether they had a voice actor do the work for them.

The video seems pretty close to the real deal until a clip of a Yoda paper mache-wearing man smoking what we assume to be space weed gives away the video's disingenuousness. The publication probably couldn't afford to get Baby Yoda to do the bit.

There's a whole lot of anticipation building up over the second season of The Mandalorian. Sure, Din Djarin might have been able to save Baby Yoda from the hands of the Empire, but it seems like Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) will stop at nothing to have the Child.

The second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian is set for release sometime later this year.
