Hugh Jackman Is Open To Playing Another Superhero Role

Hugh Jackman might not be willing to return to the big screen as 20th Century Fox's Wolverine, but he is open to playing another superhero someday.

Jackman just recently went on a tour to help promote his upcoming film The Front Runner and during the X-Men star's interview with MTV, the Australian actor was asked about his superhero career and whether he'd want to return to the big screen, this time as another superhero.

While The Greatest Showman actor is pretty much set on a life away from Wolverine' claws and pessimism, he would like to return to the comic book movie industry – if the role is right of course.

"Oh yeah, I'd be open to that. Yeah, for sure," Jackman told MTV during the interview." I mean, for me I never saw it as a superhero, even when I got Logan and I didn't know much about the X-Men series or comic book series, I was like 'these are great characters.' All of these people are flawed characters. Sure they have extraordinary abilities, right, but they are all really flawed, and that's what the movie's about. That's why people relate to it."

Now, with 20th Century Fox merging together with Disney, Jackman might be able to find a role for himself in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Phase 3 of the franchise might be coming to an end, Marvel is planning on creating even more comic book films and is even building the Marvel Cosmic Universe. We're pretty sure that Jackman could find a good role somewhere there.

Once Upon A Deadpool, Fox's PG-13 version of Deadpool 2, is set to premiere on December 12.
