There is little doubt that the hilarious feud between Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds is one of the most entertaining things in pop culture. The stars of X-Men Origins: Wolverine have always loved making fun of each other, but this time, it's for a good cause. The Logan actor has just defeated the Deadpool star in a Sam's Club contest for charity and Jackman has shared an epic video announcing his victory over Reynolds.
In case you missed it, Jackman's Laughing Man Coffee and Reynolds' Aviation Gin had an ongoing sales war at Sam's Club retailers. However, it is all in support of their respective charities The Laughing Man Foundation and The Sick Kids Foundation.
So who won? Sam's Club CEO Kath McLay decided to call both Jackman and Reynolds to confirm the Greatest Showman star's victory. She contacts Jackman first with the good news and when the actor finds out that Reynolds didn't get the news yet, assures McLay that he'll be the one to call his former co-star. Unfortunately, his message isn't exactly a positive one.
"You lost the Sam's Club thing," Jackman tells Reynolds. "I won. Everyone hates you. Bye!"
Ouch, that stings, doesn't it? Luckily, Reynolds is taking it all in stride and even congratulated Jackman's foundation for the victory.
We're loving the idea that Jackman and Reynolds are using their feud for a positive cause. In the meantime, fans are just hoping that the two could eventually be reunited onscreen as Wolverine and Deadpool. Although that seems unlikely at the moment, everyone is still crossing their fingers in hopes that we'll get to see the hilarious exchanged between the two on the silver screen.
