HUGE Jurassic World: Dominion Tease Includes New Image and Plot Details

Colin Trevorrow has done it again - he's dropped a HUGE teaser for the upcoming Jurassic World: Dominion, which follows the official release of the special five-minute preview onto YouTube just weeks ago. So what can we sink our teeth into now?

On December 15, Universal Pictures and director Colin Trevorrow shared an official in-movie image of Chris Pratt's Owen Grady interacting with a parasaurolophus, a herbivorous hadrosaur previously seen in many of the Jurassic Park sequels.

And the setting is a refreshing change for the franchise, as this image is clearly set against a snowy backdrop, an environment we already knew would feature in the movie from previous production stills and footage from video game Jurassic World: Evolution 2.

This image comes just days after another which shows Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire Dearing neck-deep in a swamp, where she's being stalked by what has been confirmed to be a therizinosaurus (a particularly long-armed - and clawed - predator).

But while the images - especially the Chris Pratt one - tease potential plot details, in which it would appear that humans, or at least the characters we're familiar with, are trying to round up dinosaurs (perhaps at Owen's new ranch?), Trevorrow himself has also confirmed some interesting details.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the director said, "They have been multiplying and living amongst us and clashing with us. Dominion is set all over the world, through many different environments: wilderness, urban, desert, snow. It's exciting to see these creatures navigate environments that they weren't built to survive in. They grew up in a theme park and now they're here."

It has also been confirmed - and to no surprise - that Claire and Owen are still trying to save the dinosaurs, particularly in the Sierra Nevada area, which was shown in the Jurassic World: Dominion preview, with Rexy still living in the enormous forests.

Speaking about the new Owen Grady image, the director said, "He's not too far from where the dinosaurs got out in the last film. The parasaurs are in danger of being poached. There's a lot of shady types out there who want to get their hands on dinosaurs, so he's working to protect them."

Trevorrow also discussed Claire Dearing, saying, "I don't want to say just yet, but she's at a point where she's questioning her methods, and whether she can stay safe and fulfill the responsibility that she has to the other people in her life that care about her."
