Far Cry 6 has finally landed, and along with it, a plethora of errors and other problems. To help players experience the game, rather than the glitches, we've put together a guide. Consider us your helping hand, as we explain the common problems you may run into, and what you can do to fix them.

Error Codes

The most common error codes that you are likely to run into are listed below. Thanks to the Ubisoft help pages, they are accompanied by a brief explanation of what the error is, and how each one can be resolved (hint: restart the game).

As you can see, Ubisoft recommends that every one of these errors is fixed by simply restarting the game. Without having any certainty around the causes of these problems, the likelihood is that the issue is at the Far Cry 6 server end of the equation. Restarting your game will refresh your connection to the servers, and hopefully, circumvent whichever error you've been affected by.

But just in case, run through your usual network troubleshooting process:

Check the server status of the game. If the server isn't working properly, wait for it to be fixed before trying again.

If your local server is experiencing a problem, you could try using a VPN, to see if a different server in another location will overcome the problem.

Make sure your network is working properly - test other apps and devices, restart your router and, if possible, try using a wired connection.

Other Issues

Warm-up PSO Cache

If you've encountered this problem, Ubisoft is yet to provide an official fix thus far. But it does appear that this is a loading feature of the game, rather than a major problem. To address it, start by waiting for 10-15 minutes, to see if it resolves itself.

If this doesn't work, if you are on PC, try moving the files from HDD to SSD, if this is available. Then restart your computer. If this doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. It's also worth waiting to see if any game updates are available. As with any new game, errors and bugs are inevitable. Patches will usually follow soon after, to fix them.

Unable to continue playing Far Cry 6 after leaving a co-op session

If you find yourself stuck when trying to leave a co-op session, the first thing to do is wait for a minute or two, to see if it resolves. If not, then it's the classic, tried-and-tested, restart your game.

Unable to leave Photo Mode in Far Cry 6

Ubisoft is aware of this problem, which prevents players from leaving Photo Mode if they fail to find a co-op partner while using it. The solution? We'll give you three guesses. Want a clue? It rhymes with ‘restart your hame'.

Play Together button is greyed out

If this issue arises, it's caused because you have disconnected from the game as you started a Special Operation in co-op mode. To fix it, close the game, and relaunch it.

Unable to complete "Triada Blessings" or "Boom or Bust" missions

Some players are experiencing a problem where they are unable to complete either of these missions while they are in co-op mode. If this has happened to you, then the fix is not to restart the game. In this case, complete the mission in single-player mode, with the relevant Amigo. You should then be able to play these missions in co-op mode.

These are the main errors and issues that we've discovered on Far Cry 6. Hopefully, many of these will be resolved shortly by software updates from Ubisoft. As a rule of thumb, restarting your game will clear many of these problems. But keep your eyes peeled for any future software updates, and apply them as soon as you can.
