Prince Harry revealed she first saw Meghan on Instagram; it was love at first sight. From there, they met in London, and the rest is history.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s First Instagram Meeting
The Duke of Sussex first saw the former actress on Instagram with a puppy Snapchat filter.
In the first episode of their docuseries, he said he first saw that picture on a mutual friend’s account in the summer of 2016.
“Meghan and I met over Instagram,” he said. I was scrolling through my feed, and someone who was a friend had this video of the two of them; it was like a Snapchat.”

“That whole thing, the dog ears. That's what he saw of me,” the Duchess of Sussex added.
“That was the first thing, I was like, ‘Who is that?'” Prince Harry continued.
Intrigued by this mysterious woman, he asked his friend to know more about her, and this friend emailed the former Suits star to tell her “Prince Haz” asked about her.

“I asked if I could see his feed. That's the thing, when people say, ‘Did you Google him?’ No, but that's your homework,” she stated. “Let me see what they are about in their feed. Not what someone else says about them, but what they are putting out about themselves.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s First Personal Meeting
Prince Harry and Meghan also released their text exchange in the docuseries before meeting personally.
Harry: “So come on—what u doing tomorrow night? Hope you’re having fun over there.”
Meghan: “Heading back to Soho. I have a dinner tomorrow at 8 but can do drinks tomorrow night, would that work? Maybe 6?”
Harry: “You’re ON!”

But Prince Harry came late on their first date. “I was panicking; I was freaking out; I was, like, sweating,” he revealed.
But despite that, they ended up having a blast.
“He was just so fun,” Meghan confessed. “Just so refreshingly fun, and that was the thing, we were, like, childlike together.”
