Another run has been given to My Next Life As a Villainess with All Routes Lead To Doom! X and so far, it continues to show promise with the isekai story of Catarina Claes. It has been lined up for the summer anime season which made its premiere in July 2021. Many are wondering how many episodes will the series have for the second season.
It follows the story of Catarina Claes, a member of the noble family who accidentally bumped her head hard and she got memories of being an otaku in her past life. She was reborn in an otome game, Fortune Lover, but not as a princess, but as the villainess of the game. As she tries to escape her destiny in the game, she takes countermeasures, only to have consequences on her relations with the others.
My Next Life As a Villainess: All Routes Lead To Doom! is based on a Japanese Light novel series by Satoru Yamaguchi with the illustrations of Nami Hidaka and it has been in circulation sine 2014 after being serialized on a user-generated website, Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It was later published in print by Ichijinsha in 2015 and in J-Novel Club for North America. To date, it has ten volumes.
It also got its own manga adaptation from the same writer and illustrator which was serialized in the shōjo manga magazing of Ichijinsha, Monthly Comic Zero Sum in 2017 and it was licensed in English by the Seven Seas Entertainment. As of the time of writing, it has six tankōbon volumes. It even got a spin-off manga of its own in 2019.
In 2020, it got its first anime television series which was by Silver Link. It was a successful one, forming part of the spring anime season of that year. And with the huge fanbase created from the first season, a second run was given to it in July 2020, now under the summer anime season.
The first season had 12 episodes and it has been confirmed that season 2 of My Next Life As a Villainess: All Routes Lead To Doom! X will have 12 episodes as well. The DVD/Blu-ray release of the anime provided the count. It will be running in a single-cour which means that the whole run will not be cut-off by any break in between except the weekly wait for a new episode.
My Next Life As a Villainess: All Routes Lead To Doom! Season 2 is up online on Crunchyroll. As the first season was dubbed in English, the same could be expected for the second season as well once the anime has enough episodes aired. It releases new episodes weekly, every Saturday, at 1:25 AM JST/ 9:25 AM PT/ 11:25 AM CT/ 12:25 PM EST/ 5:25 PM BST.
