After a three-month break, DanMachi is finally back with the climax of the fourth season! Fans of the DanMachi light novels are already excited about what it might bring, but how many episodes will DanMachi Season 4 have to deliver its story?
Many fans believe this could be the best DanMachi season yet, based on the source material. However, will the story end up being crammed?

How Many Episodes Will DanMachi Season 4 Have?
While unconfirmed, it's widely reported that DanMachi Season 4 will have a total of 22 episodes. That means Part 2 will run for the same length as Part 1, at 11 episodes each.
Each of DanMachi's previous three seasons (four if you include Sword Oratoria) were either 12 or 13 episodes long. At first, it was believed DanMachi Season 4 would follow suit, with the total episode count for the series kept secret even after it premiered.
However, rumours started circulating about a split-cour release, and so it has proved. With a split-cour release, DanMachi's much-hyped volumes 12, 13 and 14 can get a larger adaptation.
As with DanMachi Season 4 Part 1, Part 2's reported episode count hasn't actually been confirmed or released by the series yet.
While it's likely the 11-episode figure is accurate given how widely it's being reported, there's still a chance the series may have additional episodes at the end, similar to the OVA releases seen after previous seasons.
What Will DanMachi Season 4’s Episodes Cover?
It’s expected that DanMachi Season 4 will cover the light novels 12, 13 and 14, after season 3 adapted novels 9-11.
DanMachi Season 4 is also being referred to as the Labyrinth Arc which covers those light novels, with a particular focus on volume 14.
There is speculation that DanMachi Season 4 may also cover volume 15, which is a smaller story involving the main characters reminiscing on their journeys so far. However, that also may serve as a lighter start to a potential next season.
Will There Be a DanMachi Season 5?
Currently, there is no word on whether DanMachi will return for a fifth season once season 4 has concluded.
It’s uncommon for next seasons to be announced during a current series’ runs, unless two seasons are announced together, such as with Shield Hero Season 3.
There tends to be at least one year’s gap between DanMachi seasons, so we wouldn’t expect any announcement on DanMachi Season 5 during or immediately after DanMachi Season 4.
DanMachi did reveal some new projects as part of its 10th anniversary, but another anime season is not something announced yet. Rest assured, if any more info is announced, we'll be covering it right here!
