Redanian Intelligence reports that House of the Dragon Season 2 has added Line of Duty actor Mark Stobbart as Cheese. The report also suggests that Stobbart will be filming his scenes until September this year.
This particular casting news is a thrilling yet terrifying one for fans who have already read George R.R. Martin's Fire and Blood. In the book, Cheese is one half of the dangerous Blood and Cheese duo who were enlisted to terrorize Helaena Targaryen as they ensure that Daemon Targaryen gets his revenge for the death of Lucerys Velaryon in the first season finale.
But does this mean that Blood and Cheese have a bigger role to play in House of the Dragon Season 2? Considering that Mark Stobbart is expected to be on the set for several months, there is a possibility that his appearance will be in multiple episodes. This could mean that terrorizing Helaena is not the only task that the duo will be taking on in the series.
For now, HBO has not confirmed that Mark Stobbart will be playing Cheese in the second season of House of the Dragon. On the other hand, there is a good chance that the casting is legit and we could learn who will portray Blood in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
