House of the Dragon: Paddy Considine Credits Aemma Actor for Viserys' Tragic Love Story

The end has come for King Viserys I Targaryen in House of the Dragon and people are celebrating Paddy Considine for his amazing performance in the Game of Thrones prequel. However, it looks like the Outsider star says that it was his co-star Brooke Sian who should be credited for the creation of Viserys and Aemma Targaryen's tragic love story.

Paddy Considine took to his official Instagram account to thank House of the Dragon fans who have been praising him since the premiere of Episode 8. The Girl With All The Gifts actor admitted that he truly enjoyed playing Viserys and claims that Brooke Sian changed the way he portrayed the king.

"I’d like to thank the creators for allowing me the freedom to make Viserys my own. I have never loved a character so much," Considine wrote. "I want to give massive love and respect to @brooke.sian who came in for only a few days, but changed the course of my character with her brilliant performance and commitment to the work."

"The impact stayed with me until my final improvised words. She unlocked the missing piece of the puzzle for me, and allowed my story to come full circle," he continued.

"Viserys was a gift. I am so honoured he found me," Considine concluded.

Paddy Considine's performance truly evolved with each episode of House of the Dragon and it's unfortunate that Viserys will no longer appear in the last two episodes. Still, that might be a blessing considering that what will happen to his family will probably break his heart.

The latest episode of House of the Dragon is now available on HBO Max. House of the Dragon Episode 9 is titled The Green Council and is set to premiere on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
