Things are really heating up in House of the Dragon after a steamy fifth episode. However, it looks like Rhaenyra Targaryen is finally ready to settle down with the man that her father has chosen for her. So we're expecting a royal wedding in House of the Dragon Episode 5 but next week's preview also teases more conflict and chaos!
The House of the Dragon Episode 5 preview was released right after the fourth episode concluded and it pretty much confirms that King Viserys I Targaryen is determined to fix things between him and Corlys Velaryon. He tells the Sea Snake that he is proposing a marriage between Rhaenyra and Corlys' son Laenor Velaryon in hopes to herald the second age of dragons.
It looks like the Velaryons agree about the wedding but Rhaenys also has some concerns, stating that Rhaenyra's succession will be challenged. In addition to that, it's not going to be a quiet fight for the Iron Throne. At one point, Laenor is shown in a fight with what appears to be Ser Criston Cole. We also see Rhaenyra in her wedding dress falling to the ground.
So what exactly is happening in House of the Dragon Episode 5? Although we're hoping that the royal wedding will be as gorgeous as it sounds, there's a huge chance that there will be trouble. In addition to that, the life of the king is being threatened so we could finally see how the new game of thrones begins.
House of the Dragon Episode 4 is titled King of the Narrow Sea and is now available on HBO Max. House of the Dragon Episode 5 is titled We Light the Way and will premiere on HBO on Sunday, September 18, 2022.
