It has been confirmed that Horimiya: The Missing Pieces will cover the unadapted parts of the manga.

This particularly refers to Chapters 8, 9, 11, 21, 25, 47, 54, 60, 63, 76, and 86. These chapters will introduce new characters, including Yuna, who happens to be a school bully.

There are also some major events that were left out from the original anime, like the Valentine’s Day and Sports Festival, which are essential in the development of some characters.

Since the entire manga will be adapted this time, viewers will also see a deeper relationship among the characters, giving the spotlight to some side characters in the story.

Horimiya: The Missing Pieces will have a total of 13 episodes, just like the original anime.

With this in mind, fans can expect the entire series to run from July to September 2023 unless there are episode delays or production issues over at CloverWorks, the studio behind Horimiya.

Fans of the romance anime can expect the cast and staff from the original series to return, along with additional actors for the new characters.

In Japan, the new Horimiya series airs every Saturday at 11:30 PM JST on TOKYO MX, Tochigi TV, BS11, and Gunma TV. MBS will also air new episodes every Sunday at 2:08 AM JST.

Do take note that the streaming times may change depending on the region.

As such, here are the expected release times in various regions based on the information above:

  • Pacific Time: 7:30 AM
  • Central Time: 9:30 AM
  • Eastern Time: 10:30 AM
  • British Time: 3:30 PM

Viewers residing outside of Japan can stream the new episodes simultaneously on Crunchyroll.

This means they no longer have to wait for days or weeks to see what happens next in the story.

The original Horimiya series is also available on Crunchyroll for fans to binge-watch before Season 2 premieres.

As for the English-dubbed version, Crunchyroll and CloverWorks are yet to make an announcement.
