The second season of His Dark Materials is coming and we already know that Lyra Belacqua will be teaming up with Will Parry. So what's in store for the two? The new trailer for Season 2 offers a glimpse at the terrifying new world that Lyra and Will have stumbled into as everyone scrambles to get them back, for better or worse.
The trailer opens with Mrs. Coulter announcing that the world is changing and that the prophecy is clear. Nevertheless, the witches are firm with their beliefs. "Our duty is to protect the girl and the boy, wherever they are," Serafina Pekkala declares.
Meanwhile, Lyra and Will are discovering new things in the strange world they ended up in. However, Lyra strongly believes they are connected to the place despite all the spectres that appear to be after them.
Needless to say, Lyra's friend Lee Scoresby is out to find her and he teams up with John Parry, who tells him about the knife that can "slice through worlds." It's the same knife that we see in Will's possession but will it actually help them or make things worst?
