Highlight remains one of the strongest K-pop groups that remains standing after going through tough times.

Highlight is previously called Beast – a six-piece band that debuted in 2009 with EP Beast is the B2ST. They released three full-length Korean albums, nine Korean EPs, two Japanese full-length albums, and multiple singles as Beast until Jang Hyun Seung and Yong Jung Hyung departed in 2016 and 2019, respectively.

The latter member was still able to become part of the transition when Beast became Highlight in March 2017. However, he has since departed the group after getting involved in the issue Jung Joon Young sparked.

Despite these changes, Highlight remains stronger than ever that they are about to release a new album as a four-piece group.

From Wednesday to Friday, they will upload their concept photosets – BEFORE THE DREAM, IN THE DREAM, and AFTER THE DREAM CONCEPT. New versions of the concept photos would be released on March 14 to 16 after dropping the music video teaser on March 12.

What Highlight Thinks About Their Return

Their comeback came nearly a year after Highlight members shared their thoughts about making a comeback upon the release of their previous album, The Blowing. The project marked their first comeback after all four members completed their mandatory military service.

When asked during the online press conference what they thought about having a comeback, Yoon Doo Joon revealed that their mindsets actually changed after returning from the military.

“Something has definitely changed, but it’s hard to say exactly what it is. I think that there’s a greater gratitude for little things, gratitude to be able to do music together. I think often, ‘I don’t know when this moment will come again.’ I’m grateful for all the things I can do with fans,” the idol said.

With their upcoming album, Highlight will show more mature versions of themselves to their fans.
