What happened in Higehiro Episode 8?
In Higehiro Episode 8, Summer Festival, Sayu's older brother, Kazuo Ogiwara, gets introduced riding a luxury car, busy looking for his younger sister. Being on the rung for quite a long time already, Sayu would be facing a sudden change if ever she returns home. Yuhuza found her just in time at the station and took her away from the men that were looking for her. They hid at a karaoke bar.
Yuhuza tries to talk things out with Sayu and asked her why did she still bought groceries when men are after her. Sayu replied that she cannot ignore her responsibilities for Yoshida. Yuhuza tells her that Yoshida could manage to do that on his own and if Sayu goes away, everything will change as Sayu and Yoshida seem to be reliant on each other. Sayu was also confronted about whether she loves Yoshida.
Yoshida rushed to fetch Sayu. Yuhuza saw before her eyes how Yoshida cares so much about Sayu, although quite tearing up, she stays alone in the karaoke where she cries her heart out on her own with how Yoshida looks at Sayu. On the other hand, Sayu and Yoshida went to a nearby summer festival where Sayu dons a yukata and Yoshida found her pretty.
While watching fireworks, Sayu and Yoshida hold hands and it seems Yoshida is falling for her as he looks back on how his life changed when she arrived. Yoshida panicked for a second and got scared when he thought Sayu went away. Sayu reveals that she used fake names before but with Yoshida, she told him her real name.
They face the music when Sayu asked Yoshida if he wanted her to go home. Sayu had so many realizations and said that she has run away for too long. Yoshida tells her that she should come home. By the end of the episode, her brother arrives on their doorstep.
