Yoshida and Sayu meet in a peculiar set-up under the streetlights in the dead of the night. The 26-year-old Yoshida works for a major IT company who drinks his heart out after having it broken. While on his way home, Sayu is there sitting on the side of the lamppost and reveals that she ran away from home so she asks Yoshida if she could stay with him and despite his hesitations at first, Yoshida lets her stay with him.
Project No. 9 animated the series which has 13 episodes slated in a single cour. It brings to the screens the light novel series of the same name by Shimesaba with the illustrations of booota published in Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint, and the shōnen manga series by the same author with the illustrations of Imaru Adachi published in Kadokawa Shoten's shōnen manga magazine Monthly Shōnen Ace, both in English under One Peace Books.

What happened in Higehiro Episode 3?
In Higehiro Episode 3, Community Life, Yoshida allows Sayu to remain and stay without anything in return and because of this, Sayu is still confused as she doesn't seem to understand the intentions of Yoshida.
One night, Yoshida tells Sayu he will arrive home late and Sayu feels like he has someone else, that Yoshida has a lover. Sayu's anxious and her heart feels like it is sinking with the thought of Yoshida having someone else.
Later in the episode, Sayu tries to seduce Yoshida, in her lingerie, only to be pushed away. Sayu proceeded to explain to Yoshida how she uses her body to her advantage and shared how she disliked it at first but had to make do of what she has. Yoshida, despite Sayu being like that, resisted. Sayu asked for him to make love to her.
Yoshida gave him a lecture that he is only to make love with a woman he is in love with. He tells Sayu she could stay without having to give her body away and orders her to get some clothes then later shares to her how her arrival in his life changed it.
