Every character in the Star Wars Universe has its fans. But what happens when the unhealthy obsession with a Sith Lord becomes canon? The latest issue of Darth Vader: Dark Visions explores the story of a regular woman who becomes infatuated with the Dark Lord and the comic book is unsurprisingly becoming controversial.

In Tall, Dark and Handsome, we meet an unnamed woman who works as a low-ranking nurse aboard the Death Star. Interestingly, the nurse is perhaps the only person on the ship who doesn't seem to fear Darth Vader. Instead, she worships him completely and goes as far as collecting some of the Sith Lord's belongings.
It's a surprising story filled with awkward scenes as the nurse fantasizes about being with Vader. At one point, she ends up in his private chambers and finally faces the object of her desire. Unfortunately, things don't exactly work out for the woman.
Not surprisingly, people are taking to social media to express their disgust over the comic book. There are so many fans who are outraged by the issue that writer Dennis Hopeless has tried to explain his side of the story.
One netizen pointed out that Tall, Dark and Handsome actually tries to send a message to women who idolize Vader and Kylo Ren. Hopeless took to Twitter with an explanation.
"That really wasn't my intention. I'm not here to police your read, but to me, it's about a person so beaten down and caged in by her fascist existence that she fantasizes about the only person in her world powerful enough to free her," Hopeless wrote.
The synopsis for the issue reads as follows:
"THE STAR-CROSSED LOVER!
"DARTH VADER, a name that strikes fear in the hearts of countless across the galaxy...but there is one lonely heart that beats just for him.
"What is it like to be in love with LORD VADER?
"And what fate will befall one who is infatuated with the tall, dark mystery behind the mask?"
