Here’s When Lugia Leaves Pokemon Go

It looks like Lugia won't be staying in Pokemon Go's Legendary Raids for long.

According to a post on the official Pokemon website, Lugia will be leaving the game along with the rest of the Legendary birds at the end of the month, giving gamers about two weeks to capture the Psychic Flying Legendary.

The news comes in an article announcing Mewtwo's worldwide debut on the augmented reality gaming app. Detailing the Psychic Legendary Pokemon's role as an Exclusive Raid Boss, the post discusses the mechanics of Exclusive Raid Battles as well as Lugia, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres last few weeks on Pokemon Go.

"While you await the arrival of Mewtwo, you can use those powerful Pokémon of yours to take on and catch Lugia—and Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres! That's right, those mighty Legendary Kanto Pokémon are sticking around for one more week. Starting today and lasting until August 31, 2017, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will be appearing in Raid Battles for Trainers to challenge. August 31 will also be your last opportunity to catch Lugia, for now. Be sure to coordinate with other Trainers and make your move!"

Among all of the Legendary birds, Lugia is the hardest to capture with a 2% base capture rate, so gamers better do what they can to beat Lugia in a Legendary Raid before it leaves Pokemon Go.
