Here’s When Lucasfilm Might Release The First Teaser For Star Wars: Episode IX

Production on Star Wars: Episode IX might have just begun but fans are itching for more news on the third and final film in Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy.

Now that the film's official cast list is out online, everyone's busy speculating when the studio's going to drop Episode IX's first teaser trailer and though it might take some months time while principal photography is being done at Pinewood Studios in London, everyone's hoping for a teaser to roll out this year.

According to Express, it's very likely that Lucasfilm would follow the release schedules of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, meaning that fans might be able to get their first glimpse of Episode IX this November.

However, knowing The Last Jedi's former promotional release schedule, the full trailer for the third installment in the Star Wars sequel trilogy might not come out until April next year. April is when Star Wars Celebration usually arrives and Lucasfilm has the next Celebration planned for 2019. Being one of the biggest Star Wars events, it's very likely that the trailer could drop then.

After all, what better date to reveal the first full trailer for Episode IX than an event filled with Star Wars fans celebrating George Lucas' galaxy far, far away?

Of course, Lucasfilm has yet to confirm these speculations, so we'll just have to wait patiently and see what happens next.

Star Wars: Episode IX premieres December 20, 2019.
