Here’s What Zac Efron Could Look Like As Wolverine

Hugh Jackman might refuse to return as the ­X-Men's Wolverine after his gritty swan song, Logan, but that doesn't mean that 21^st Century Fox is going to let go of the character forever. While Jackman has become the face of the grisly mutant, fans have been placing their bids on various actors that might be able to take his place, and it looks like one of those in the running is Zac Efron.

While there haven't been any rumors about Efron taking on the role of Wolverine for 21^st Century Fox, BossLogic has been working his magic, imagining just what the Baywatch actor would look like if he were to put on the claws and become the studio's new James Howlett.

The art piece itself is pretty striking Unsurprisingly, Efron looks like he could actually fit the part pretty well with his square jaw and his boxy features. It wouldn't be hard to imagine Efron in a new X-Men movie, especially with the Disney and 21^st Century Fox merger nearing its completion.

While many are wary of the power the acquisition of Fox and its various film and television assets could bring the Mickey Mouse House, Marvel fans anticipate the merger knowing that it would mean the arrival of the ­X-Men, Fantastic Four, and all of the studio's other mutants, in the MCU.

This new transition could usher in a new Wolverine, one that could potentially be played by Efron. There's a whole realm of possibilities.

Fox's X-Men: Dark Phoenix is set to release on June 7, 2019.
