If you thought Spider-Man: No Way Home finally brought the multiversal experience to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we're only scratching the surface because all the mayhem will ensue in the upcoming Marvel Studios' offering Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, despite all the hype surrounding the film, the recent reshoots raised some concern from fans who believe the studio might have bitten off more than they can chew.
What I'm referring to are the rumored cameos that will be featured in the film. If you've been following the latest news about the project top-billed by Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen, reports claim that Doctor Strange 2 will see appearances not only from existing MCU characters, but familiar faces from Marvel's past film properties, including Sony and Fox.
There's also a hot rumor making the rounds all over social media right now that Tom Cruise will have a special participation in the film as a variant of Tony Stark aka Iron Man. As it stands, nothing has been officially confirmed yet but all the crazy rumors tell you that Marvel is putting together something that is more ambitious than No Way Home. Assuming it's all true, the real question is, will they be able to pull it off?

Well, according to a new scoop from insider Grace Randolph, Marvel Studios has held early screenings for the film and while we still don't know if it's 100% finished, the initial response from the folks who've already seen it is generally positive. In a tweet, Randolph confirmed that Multiverse of Madness will in fact feature major cameos. She also revealed that Wanda Maximoff will be the film's main villain and will run roughshod across the multiverse.
It looks like Doctor Strange 2 will be able to surpass Spider-Man: No Way Home in terms of grandeur alone and I'm totally stoked to see what goes down in the multiverse.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits cinemas on May 6, 2022.
