Here’s The Most Likely Way Tony Stark Gets To Return To The MCU

Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) might have sacrificed his life to save the universe from the hands of Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Endgame, but Marvel fans are still hoping that even though it seems unlikely, Iron Man will be able to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While there have been rumors that Downey Jr. might return in Scarlett Johansson's upcoming Black Widow standalone movie, many industry insiders believe that the role is going to be nothing more than a deleted scene taken out of Captain America: Civil War.

However, it seems like a Marvel fan has a new theory that might open up to the possibility of Tony Stark's return. Posting on the r/FanTheories subreddit, a Redditor who goes by the name ankitvishwakarma decided to share one of the ways that Marvel might be able to bring back Iron Man into the MCU without really resurrecting the hero.

This Marvel fan takes note of the hologram that Morgan (Lexi Rabe) and Pepper Pots (Gwyneth Paltrow) played during the third act of Endgame. The two were watching a hologram of Tony projected from Mark LXXXV's helmet at the end of the film, something which most viewers assumed was made before his death. But what if the hologram wasn't made before Iron Man's passing? What if Tony Stark decided to preserve his essence by turning himself into some sort of artificial intelligence?

It's an interesting theory, because in the Ironheart comics in 2015, Marvel introduced an AI into the series right after Tony went into a coma so that Iron Man's legacy would continue.

What do you think of this new theory? Do you think we'll get to see Iron Man again as artificial intelligence? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
