Here's How Boba Fett Escaped the Sarlacc Pit in The Mandalorian Season 2

At this point, everybody already knows about the awesome surprise at the end of The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 1. But the big question remains: how did Boba Fett manage to survive being thrown into the Sarlacc Pit after all this time? The answer may already be in the Star Wars books as well as some interesting details revealed in the Disney+ series.

In Chapter 9: The Marshal, Mando finds a marshal in the city of Mos Pelgo on Tatooine who has been wearing pieces of Mandalorian armor. Star Wars fans immediately noticed that these are parts from Boba Fett's armor (which were originally belonged to his father Jango Fett). However, it is then revealed this is not Boba but a man named Cobb Vanth who had procured the armor from Jawas in exchange for a box of crystals.

So what happened to Boba? By the end of the episode, it is revealed that Boba has been watching them this whole time and is aware that Mando now has his armor. But how did he get out of that Sarlacc Pit in the first place?

There is a possibility that the answer is in the Aftermath books by Chuck Wendig. In the Star Wars books, it is revealed that the Sarlacc was injured during the explosion of Jabba the Hutt's Sail Barge. This would allow the Jawas to scavenge the creature's exposed contents and finding Boba's armor.

For now, it has not yet been revealed if we'll see more of Boba in The Mandalorian Season 2. However, considering the fact that Mando is looking for someone who is a Mandalorian and knows about the Jedi, there's a huge chance we haven't seen the last of him just yet.
