There is little doubt that fans have been watching the first episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 to spot all the hidden references and Easter Eggs. But did you also notice a very obvious reference to Jon Favreau's Iron Man?
In Chapter 9: The Marshal, we are introduced to a new character wearing pieces of Boba Fett's Mandalorian armor. It is later revealed that the man named Cobb Vanth got hold of the armor from Jawas. But that's not the important part here. At one point, Vanth actually uses a small missile in his armor to destroy a speeder.
Although that doesn't sound like much, it looks a lot like that awesome scene from the first Iron Man film where Tony Stark uses his missile to destroy a tank. Someone managed to put the two scenes together and it looks amazing. Check it out below.
It's not yet clear whether this was an intentional nod to Iron Man although fans believe that Favreau wanted to pay tribute to the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick. After all, he directed the movie as well as the first episode of The Mandalorian Season 2.
The premiere episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 also had an amazing surprise at the final moment. Just as Mando leaves Tatooine, we see a man watching the horizon. As he turns out, it is revealed to be Temuera Morrison playing the scarred Boba Fett.
The next episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 will air on Disney+ on November 6.
