Henry Cavill May Be Teasing The Black Superman Suit

Many fans have speculated that Superman will be resurrected and appear in his black suit from the iconic Death and Return of Superman storyline in future DC movies. It seems like Henry Cavill is confirming those predictions. He posted what appeared to be an extreme closeup of the black suit on Instagram and hashtagged it Superman. You can see the post below:

Cavill seems to be teasing an upcoming appearance in the Justice League movie. It would make sense for the black suit to be used as Superman's death in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was clearly based on The Death of Superman. Just like in the 1993 comics storyline, Clark was killed by the monstrous Doomsday. The ending of the movie also implied he would make a comeback soon, showing dirst levitating away from his coffin.

Of course, it's entirely possible this picture simply has a dark filter over it. You can't spot any of the silver elements the famous Death of Superman costume has. What's more, the post doesn't answer the real burning question about Superman's undead fashion choices: will he have the Super-Mullet that went with the black outfit? That fashion faux-paus is an essential part of Superman's return.

I think it's likely that we will see Cavill in the black costume, mullet or not. What about you? Do you think we'll be seeing those duds? Are you excited to see Superman come back?
