Henry Cavill Has The Perfect Response To Getting Cast As The Witcher’s Geralt

DC Extended Universe's Superman star Henry Cavill has a great response to the news that he's just been cast as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's upcoming live-action adaptation of The Witcher.

Taking to Instagram, the Man of Steel and Batman v Superman actor decided to put up a post showing off his geeky humor after word broke out that he'd been picked as The Witcher's Geralt. Sharing a photo of his Netflix account, Cavill decided to show off his new name on Netflix: Geralt of Rivia. Captioning hte image, the Superman star tells fans that his new mailing address is the same address that Geralt has in the books – though he's rarely going to be there because of all the monster slaying that he'll have to work on.

"Replies will be few and far between, if at all," Cavill jokes in his post.

Though The Witcher gamers and readers might be a bit hesitant about having Cavill as the new face of The Witcher series, this new post just proves how much of a fan the Superman star is. Cavill's always been open about his love for fantasy games, and he just recently expressed genuine interest in becoming The Witcher's Geralt.

Sure some fans might want Mads Mikkelsen and NIkolaj Coster-Waldau instead, but hey, it wouldn't hurt to give Cavill a chance.

The Witcher series doesn't have a release date yet but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
