Change is coming for everyone as Warner Bros. Discovery lays down the official plans for the merger of HBO Max and Discovery+ with the rebranding of its new name. The company also unveils the subscription plans for the streaming platform.

Late 2022 has welcomed a huge change following the merger of Warner Bros. Discovery, bringing with it the plan for combining their respective streaming platforms, HBO Max and Discovery+, into one under the name, "Max."

Max will be launching in just a few weeks and in a Bloomberg report, the streaming service will be maintaining the subscription price of HBO Max with the $10 plan for an ad-supported tier, $16 for that without ads, and $20 for the plan with the most inclusions.

Other than the plans on Max comes the merger of the titles from HBO Max and Discovery+, thus, having thousands of titles on the streaming service which would include the unscripted lifestyle shows of Discovery, and HBO Max's original series.

More plans for the new streaming service will be revealed on April 12th, the press day of Warner Bros. Discovery for the platform which is expected to unveil more details about the combined HBO Max-Discovery+.

Official word is expected on how the two streaming platforms will become Max, including what other shows would turn up in it. The HBO Max originals are anticipated to form part of the new roster of Max.

Late last year, the merger of Warner Bros. Discovery cooked up a lot of changes in the industry, not only on the streaming platform, but also in the projects of the two industry giants including that of the DC Universe.

Warner Bros. Discovery instated their new CEO, David Zaslav, who handles the company, the projects they handle, and its transition to a new mega-studio that will be bringing titles that the could define the future of the industry.
