One of the streaming giants, HBO Max, will be having an ad-supported version for $9.99 every month, and a few weeks before its release, the details about the version have been revealed by WarnerMedia. This gives the subscribers an option on what plan to choose for their subscription on HBO Max.

HBO Max is home to various films and series such as The Nevers, Titans, Doom Patrol, among many others. The streaming platform will be adding new titles under their roster with the new animated series of Batman and Superman, and Adult Swim shorts inspired by Rick and Morty, Robot Chicken, Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

The same streaming platform has been where films like Godzilla vs. Kong, Mortal Kombat, and Zack Snyder's Justice League made their release. Recently, it has been announced that Friends: Reunion will also be in the streaming giant.

According to the Head of Advertising Sales for WarnerMedia, JP Colaco, in announcing the release of an ad-supported version of HBO Max, he said, "HBO Max with Ads provides a superior marketing environment, featuring the lightest ad load in the streaming industry, driving engagement with consumers and efficacy for our partners."

Colaco added, "couple that with beloved premium content spanning all genres and audience segments, and we are delivering the best ad offering available in the market today."

News about WarnerMedia cooking up an ad-supported version of HBO Max started buzzing in September 2020 and just this March, the company has confirmed its existence at the Morgan Stanley's Technology, Media & Telecom conference where WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar saying, "it turns out that most people on this planet are not wealthy, if we can wake up and use price and be able to kind of invent and do things elegantly through advertising to reduce the price of the service, I think that's a fantastic thing for fans."

This version of HBO Max gives subscribers a cheaper option costing $9.99 a month as compared to the ad-free version with the price of $14.99 per month. Although the price is still more expensive than those of their competitors with Disney+ at $7.99, it costs the same as that of Paramount+ premium and is cheaper than that of Netflix costing $13.99 a month. Paramount+ keeps up with its own ad-supported version at a far lower price of $4.99 monthly.

HBO Max Ad-Supported Version was released on the first week of June for $9.99 a month.
