HBO Asia Throws Shade At Henry Cavill's Digitally Removed Mustache In Justice League

Justice League certainly got a lot of flak but the one thing that fans focused on was Henry Cavill's badly erased mustache. Although most people have already forgotten about the whole thing, HBO Asia wants you to remember Superman's awkward upper lip in the DC Extended Universe flick.

HBO Asia recently shared a series of screencaps from JusticeLeague on their official Instagram account. The first image shows Amy Adams' Lois Lane asking Clark Kent what it was like to come back, followed by a photo of Cavill admitting it was "itchy." The final picture features Cavill's creepy smile courtesy of the poorly edited upper lip. Take a look at the post below.

It's a humorous post that's supposed to make fun of Clark's unusual response about his resurrection. However, most people believed that HBO Asia was throwing shade at JusticeLeague for adding the photo of Superman's edited smile. Hopefully, this will all die down since Cavill has already shaved his mustache off and moved on to other projects.

Cavill is currently working on the live-action adaptation of The Witcher, where he will play Geralt of Rivia. Luckily, he doesn't have to grow a mustache for this one although he will don a silver wig and probably a few prosthetic scars on his face. In the meantime, it is still unclear if Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in the future DCEU film even though his Justice League co-star Jason Momoa has insisted that Clark Kent will return.

Cavill's The Witcher has not yet been given an official release date. Justice League is currently screening on HBO Asia.
