Hawkeye: Vincent D'onofrio Celebrates Kingpin's Return with Cheeky Tweet

It finally happened. Hawkeye Episode 5 finally gave us our first glimpse at Wilson Fisk's return in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although it was just in a blurry photo, Vincent D'onofrio is undoubtedly happy to finally confirm he's a part of the Disney+ series. So it's no surprise that the Daredevil star decided to celebrate Kingpin's mini debut on social media.

In Hawkeye Episode 5, Yelena Belova discovered who had hired her to kill Clint Barton. She then shared the information with Kate Bishop, confirming Eleanor Bishop had reached out to Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and that Kate's mother is working with Kingpin. It was an amazing revelation that had fans delighted about Wilson Fisk's brief appearance and D'onofrio finally addressed his involvement in the show with a cheeky tweet.

We're happy to see that Kingpin is finally part of the MCU. After all, fans have been hoping that the character will be brought back after the cancellation of Daredevil. There have been reports that D'onofrio will be part of the Hawkeye spin-off series Echo but it's even better to see him in the original show first. Needless to say, we're quite relieved that all those rumors were right all along.

For now, it is unclear whether Kingpin will play a larger role in the Hawkeye season finale or if we'll have to wait until Echo to see him working directly with Alaqua Cox's Maya Lopez. In the meantime, we're just happy to know that D'onofrio is back and is now expected to be a huge part of the MCU.

Hawkeye Episode 5 was titled Ronin and is now streaming on Disney+. The final episode has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is already set to premiere on the streaming service on December 23, 2021.
