Hawkeye is already set to premiere later this year but Alaqua Cox is still hard at work. The upcoming star of the Marvel show's spin-off series is already preparing to reprise her role as Echo and she has just shared an awesome training video confirming an astounding achievement.
Cox posted the workout video on her official Instagram account. The caption reveals the actor's personal milestone since she began working on Hawkeye: "I can now dead lift more than my body weight." Check it out below.
Not surprisingly, fans are loving the revelation and so are Cox's fellow MCU stars. Hawkeye castmate Fra Fee left an encouraging comment on the post while Eternals actor Lauren Ridloff called Cox "fierce!"
It's pretty clear that Cox is currently preparing for Echo, the spin-off series that will focus on her character Maya Lopez. The actress had previously shared a casting call for key roles in the show. Interestingly both characters are expected to be played by actors who are fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
For now, there haven't been any updates on the casting but Echo is expected to begin production very soon. There are reports suggesting that the new show will start filming this month and we could be getting an update in the next few days. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
In the meantime, Cox will debut in Hawkeye which also stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Vera Farmiga, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d'Arcy James. The series will premiere on Disney+ on November 24, 2021.
