There is little doubt that Hawkeye is one of the most anticipated news shows this year and there is a good reason for that. Fans are already looking forward to seeing Kate Bishop as she makes her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. But could it also lead to a bright future for the next Hawkeye? Series producer Trinh Tran teased on the possibility that Kate will eventually join the Young Avengers.
It's no secret that the MCU has been introducing members of the Young Avengers in their new projects. For instance, we got to meet Billy and Tommy Maximoff, the future Wiccan and Speed, in WandaVision. In Hawkeye's case, it's bringing in Kate Bishop, who will eventually take over the Hawkeye mantle.
So what are the chances that Kate will eventually return in a new MCU project where she could join the Young Avengers? Tran recently spoke with Inverse where she addressed Kate's future in the MCU.
"I love her character, and I think our biggest focus is making sure she comes off in the right way in this project. Then, we'll see how it goes," Tran said. She then added that they first need to focus on how Kate is introduced into the MCU.
"I mean if we land her in a great way and she's well-perceived by everybody, who knows what the future can hold? She's an amazing character. I really do think she shines in this story. And I hope everybody sees that as well," Tran said.
It might be too soon to call it but we believe that Kate Bishop will truly shine in Hawkeye. We've only seen Hailee Steinfeld's performance in the trailers and promos but it looks like she really nailed that role. With that in mind, we're hoping to see more of Kate even after the series concludes.
Hawkeye also stars Jeremy Renner, Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d'Arcy James, and Alaqua Cox. The series is set for a two-episode premiere on Disney+ on November 24, 2021.
