Hawkeye Disney+ Series Will Reportedly Start Production This July

The Hawkeye Disney+ series is something a lot of Marvel fans have their eyes on, hoping that it will recapture the magic that Matt Fraction and David Aja's Hawkeye comic was able to conjure up back in 2011. With Marvel Studios confirming that Kate Bishop, the second Hawkeye, would be appearing in the show, comparisons between the comic and Disney+ series continued, though fans shouldn't expect an advanced release date ala WandaVision.

Currently, Hawkeye is scheduled for a 2021 release date and it looks like Disney is planning to keep it that way. Entertainment journalist Charles Murphy stated that Hawkeye would begin production on July 2020, which makes a lot of sense since the series doesn't even have a proper release date outside of the vague Fall 2021 window given.

Oddly enough, a lot of fans are worried about the state of Hawkeye, which probably has a lot to do with Jeremy Renner's marital issues making their way to the public, with his ex-wife claiming that he threatened to kill her, which he denied. Right now, it's very he-said-she-said so it's hard to pick a side and if we're being honest, no one should choose one unless you're a part of their family.

We'll probably get more Hawkeye details as soon as they're made available since the series seems to be in really early pre-production. They haven't even cast their Kate Bishop yet, though rumors of Bumblebee and Into the Spider-Verse star, Haylee Steinfeld, getting the role did make the waves back in 2019.

Hawkeye will come to Disney+ sometime in Fall 2021.
