Harry Potter Star Rupert Grint Addresses Return as Ron Weasley

In case you missed it, there have been speculations that Warner Bros. has plans of bringing back the original Harry Potter cast for a new project. But will the actors actually consider reprising their youthful roles now that they are all grown up? Rupert Grint has addressed the possibility of returning as Ron Weasley in the franchise.

We already know that Grint has formed a bond with co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. After all, the three worked together closely for almost a decade and they practically grew up together on the set of the Harry Potter movies.

So would Grint want to work with Radcliffe and Watson again on a new Harry Potter project? The Servant star told Esquire that he would love to see more of his friends. However, he simply isn't involved in anything connected to the franchise right now. Although he is open to the idea, Grint believes it's best not to touch the films.

"I think going back now would be... I can't really imagine it. But, I mean, never say never. It would only be if everyone else wants to do the same. But yeah, no… I think just leave it," Grint said.

It shouldn't be a huge surprise that Grint and his co-stars aren't eager to jump back into the Harry Potter franchise. After all, they have all moved on since the movies and it might be time for new stories to be explored. Nevertheless, there is a possibility that Warner Bros. will pursue the idea of a reboot or sequel so stay tuned for more updates on this story.
