Harry Potter Reunion Special Trailer Shows the Original Cast Members Back Together


Some time ago, we learned that the original cast members of the Harry Potter series will be having a reunion special where we see them reunite again 10 years after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 was released. Then, they released a first look image and a teaser trailer that hyped up Potterheads who are looking forward to the reunion. Now, we finally have the first full-look footage on the upcoming special.

HBO Max has released the official trailer for the much-anticipated special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts which will be a telling of an enchanting making-of story through all-new in-depth interviews and cast conversations, inviting fans on a magical first-person journey throughout the Harry Potter film series. It will also celebrate its unparalleled legacy and its indelible impact on the hearts, minds, and imaginations of families and fans around the world. You can view the trailer here:

The trailer showed us the original cast members gathering in a room that looks like the replica of Hogwarts and they look happy to be together again all in one place. We also see them being interviewed as they reflect back on the making of the films and the nostalgia that they feel as they look back on those magical days.

The reunion special will feature Harry Potter alumni such as the original trio Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, directors Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuaron, Mike Newell, and David Yates, supporting cast members Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Evanna Lynch, Ian Hart, Mark Williams, Robbie Coltrane, Matthew Lewis, and many more. However, J.K. Rowling will not be involved.

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts will premiere on HBO Max this coming New Year's Day, January 1. It will also debut on TBS and Cartoon Network in spring 2022 ahead of the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. All eight Harry Potter films are also streaming on HBO Max.
