Earlier this month, a report claimed that a young Lando Calrissian will appear in the untitled Han Solo spin-off film that's set to release in 2018. Just a couple of months after being cast in an unknown role in Spider-Man: Homecoming, the actor/musician is a favorite to be cast in a major role in the Han Solo film.
Now, Birth Movies Death is reporting that Donald Glover, whose best known for his role as Troy Barnes in five seasons of sitcom Community, is being considered to play the young Lando Calrissian. Chris Miller and Phil Lord, the directing duo who will helm the Han Solo anthology film, allegendy want Glover to play the young Lando.
The directing duo's first preference to play Han Solo was Alden Ehrenreich, and Lucasfilm officially announced his casting earlier this Summer, so you could say that Glover has a great chance to play young Lando, but it's not officially locked down yet.
Last week, there's a rumor that the Han Solo film is searching for a female lead of color.
The Han Solo film is set to release in theaters on May 25, 2018.
