Fans are undoubtedly excited about the planned Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse spin-off movie that will focus on the female webslingers. Not surprisingly, Spider-Gwen voice actress Hailee Steinfeld is already looking forward to returning as Gwen Stacy.
Steinfeld recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about working on Into The Spider-Verse. When asked if she would be interested in once again playing Spider-Gwen in the Spider-Women movie, the Bumblebee star gushed about taking on such an awesome role.
"Oh my goodness. To be a part of this and play this strong female superhero, in this film particularly, is quite a privilege. The thought of a spinoff is incredible. If that were to ever happen, I would be honored to be a part of it. I would love that opportunity. Anything to do something like this again with these people would be an honor."
We're certainly looking forward to seeing more of Spider-Gwen and her new friends in the future. After all, the planned Spider-Women film will introduce Jessica Drew aka Spider-Woman and Cindy Moon aka Silk. Plans for the spin-off movie were previously confirmed by Into The Spider-Verse producer Amy Pascal, who also revealed that a Silk live-action film is in development.
Although it may take some time before we hear Steinfeld's voice again in a Spider-Verse movie, the young actress has several projects to look forward to. Her film Bumblebee has just been released and she is set to play Emily Dickinson in the new TV series Dickinson.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is currently in theaters worldwide.
