There are speculations that Avengers: Endgame could be the last movie featuring both Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. However, Gwyneth Paltrow may have teased on the possibility that Iron Man and the Stark Industries CEO will return in yet another Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.
Paltrow recently posted an awesome photo with Avengers: Infinity War co-star Robert Downey Jr. that may have been taken while the two were working on Endgame. Interestingly, the Iron Man 3 actress added a curious caption to the image. Take a look at her Instagram post below.
"You KNOW I will be this guys pepper anytime he needs me," Paltrow wrote, adding the hashtag #pepperonyforever.
It's a sweet gesture considering that the two have worked together on three Iron Man films, two Avengers movies, and one Spider-Man flick. However, some fans immediately wondered if Paltrow was teasing on Downey returning as Tony in more MCU flicks after Endgame. Could it also mean that Pepper will be coming back to support Tony? For now, this is all based on speculation so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.
Paltrow had previously hinted at her own retirement as Pepper when she stated that she was "a bit old to be in a suit and all that." Nevertheless, people are still expecting the character to wear the RESCUE armor in Endgame and possibly save Tony from space. We're certainly hoping that Pepper will finally get more action really soon.
The synopsis for Avengers: Endgame reads as follows:
"Following the events of Avengers: Infinity War, the universe lies in shambles and the remaining Avengers and their allies must reassemble to repair the damage caused by Thanos and bring harmony back to the universe."
Paltrow returns as Pepper Potts in Avengers: Endgame, which is scheduled for release on April 26.
