Not all magical girl anime shows are great for kids as this upcoming one is definitely in NSFW territory. Recently, the Gushing Over Magical Girls anime got a new trailer that revealed its Winter 24 release date.
Announced earlier this year, this upcoming ecchi BDSM magical girl series also revealed more new cast members, one of whom is a popular voice actress for a well-known rom-com anime.
Gushing Over Magical Girls Anime Reveals More Voice Cast Members
Gushing Over Magical Girls is a yuri magical girl manga that began back in 2019.
It may not be a series for everyone given its ecchi elements, but it has a dedicated following thanks to its unique albeit heavily NSFW take on the genre.
Following its announcement, the show got its first teaser, which was released a few months ago. Aside from revealing some clips, the teaser also came with the announcement of the main cast.
Voicing the main character Hiiragi Utena is Fuuka Izumi, a rookie VA. She is joined by Misato Fukuen (Himiko Toga in My Hero Academia) as Venalita and Kaori Maeda (Shizuku Osaka in Love Live!) as Haruka.
Now, more new cast members have been revealed. The biggest name is Aoi Koga (Kaguya Shinomiya in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) who voices Kiwi Araga/Leopard.
The three other voice cast members include:
- Shiori Sugiura (Ririka Kenzaki in Liz and the Blue Bird) as Korisu Morino/Nero Alice
- Mayuko Kazama (Myna Yatomika in 86) as Sayo Minakami/Magia Azul
- Misaki Ikeda as Kaoruko Tenkawa/Magia Sulfur

Gushing Over Magical Girls Gets Winter 24 Release Date
Aside from the cast reveal, the anime also got a longer trailer that featured more clips. These new clips center around the main character, Utena, as well as the magical girl group, Tres Magia.
The trailer also features a look at the animation by Asahi Production, the studio that also worked on shows such as A Galaxy Next Door, Girls’ Frontline, and Giant Beasts of Ars.

The Gushing Over Magical Girls anime is confirmed to premiere in January 2024. There’s no word yet on a specific release date for the first episode, though it’ll likely air in the first or second week of the month.
The show’s streaming platform outside of Japan has also not been revealed yet. Chances are that fans will need to wait a bit longer for an announcement given the NSFW nature of the show.
