Guilds of Ravnica Theme Boosters and Gulid Packs Details Revealed

Wizards of the Coast has revealed more details on the upcoming Magic: The Gathering set called Guilds of Ravnica.

Just like Theme Boosters for Dominaria, the Theme Boosters for Guilds of Ravnica are 35-card booster packs but they will be a little different from the ones for Dominaria.

While the Guilds of Ravnica Theme Boosters will still contain 35 cards including one rare and one mythic, each themed booster will be based on one of the set's two-color guilds (Boros, Selesnya, Izzet, Dimir, or Golgari). As the Wizards Play Network said, Wizards of the Coast says that the Theme Boosters are designed for beginners and that "the idea is to let them expand their collection with colors that they're already invested in."

The expansion will also have Guilds of Ravnica Kits and they're a bit different from the Theme Boosters. Guild Kits are themed ready-to-play 60-card decks and each is based on one of the five guilds in Guilds of Ravnica. The Guild Kits also include guild-themed items such as spindown life counter, pins, and stickers. They will also include cards from all of the current and previously-released Ravnica sets including the original Ravnica block and Return to Ravnica block.

"They're also designed to play well against each other," Wizards of the Coast via wrote the Wizards Play Network. "We'll have more details on the actual cards inside once we get closer to release."

Guilds of Ravnica will be released on October 5. The Theme Boosters will also be released on the same day. The Guilds of Ravnica Guild Kits are set to release on November 2 just in time for MTG's Ravnica Weekend.
