Guardians of The Galaxy’s Chris Pratt Separates From Anna Faris After An Eight Year Marriage

Guardians of the Galaxy's main man, Chris Pratt, has just recently announced that legal separation with his wife, Anna Farris.

One of the most popular couples in Hollywood today, fans were shocked to see Pratt and Faris posting about their decision to legally separate from one another after eight years of marriage.

Here's what the two wrote on their various social media accounts:

"Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."

Faris and Pratt first met on the set of Take Me Home Tonight back in 2007, and after playing each other's love interests, sparks began to fly, snowballing into an engagement in 2008 and then a Bali weeding in 2009. Three years after, their son Jack, was born.

The two had often shared posts about their family on Twitter and news about their split shocked netizens who had loved the couple and their family. However, Hollywood can wear down the best relationships and in an interview with The Associated Press before the premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 this year, Pratt went on to talk about how he and his wife made their careers their top priority.

"For the first part of our relationship, we put our careers at the top. We were like, 'Honey, if you get a job and you have to go to Istanbul for six months, you're going. I'll help you pack. I'll Skype with you every day. You're living your dream, I'm living my dream. That's what we do.'"

Pratt is currently the face of Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic Park while Faris is voice acting for The Emoji Movie. Hopefully the couple weathers out this storm together.
