Will Poulter's casting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as iconic Marvel Comic character Adam Warlock no less came as a huge shocker to the fandom. But over the last couple of weeks, the fans have seemingly warmed up to the idea of the We're The Millers actor becoming one of the huge players in the franchise.

Poulter is set to make his debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which begins filming before the year comes to a close. Admittedly, the 28-year-old star is still in disbelief that he's now part of the MCU but according to him, he's ready to start working.

The star of Black Mirror: Bandersnatch recently caught up with Variety, saying he's grateful for the opportunity to become part of one of the biggest, if not the biggest entertainment franchises in the world. However, as much as he'd like to give details about his involvement in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Poulter says that he's not allowed to say anything this early in the game.

Poulter said: "I feel very honored to have been welcomed into the Marvel family. Everyone I’ve interacted with there is great and you know, I’m very excited to be part of a franchise like Guardians, which I regard to be like, one of the most creative and unique. I’m not really allowed to speak about the part. Just given that it’s Marvel I’m sworn to secrecy."

I gotta be honest, he's the last person in Hollywood who I thought would be cast as Adam Warlock but I definitely trust James Gunn on this one. It's not like he's ever let us down in the past anyway. And don't let his comedic past fool you, Will has proven over the last couple of years that he's more than just a comedy actor so I'm sure he'll do the role justice.

The MCU's third Guardians of the Galaxy film is scheduled for release on May 5, 2023.
